There are three activity types tracked by the Certification module:
■ CERTIFICAT - The CERTIFICAT activity record is created when an individual enrolls in a program, or when you purge component registrations if you enabled the Create Activity records for Component Registrations option on the Certification System Options window. The CERTIFICAT activity record also is created for the speaker and/or provider of a component when the first registrant for that location passes the component.
■ CERTIFY - The CERTIFY activity records are created only for components and only when certification orders are invoiced.
■ CEU (used with the Events module) - The CEU activity record is generated when an event is closed that contained a function that had CEUs activated, and the attendance was updated.
To create an activity type for Certification
1. Select Customers, select Set up module> Activity types to open the Set up activity types window.
2. Click New.
3. Enter the activity type code in the Type field.
4. Enter a brief description of the activity type in the Description field.
5. Enter additional information about the activity type in the appropriate fields.
6. Click Save.
